Frequently asked questions
How can I invest in the fund?
The easiest way to invest in the fund is through your bank, intermediary or fund platform. It is not possible to invest directly through Rhenman & Partners.
How often is the fund traded and when is the cut-off time?
This fund is traded once a month. The fund administrator's cut-off time occurs three days prior to the last (Luxembourg) business day of each month. Please note that your bank, intermediary or fund platform may have an earlier deadline for order. Hence, it is important to check their specific cut-off time.
When do I get the money after redemption?
The payment from the fund administrator takes place five business days after month end. Please note that your bank, intermediary or fund platform may need a few extra days to handle the transaction.
What makes a hedge fund different from a long only equity fund?
The more liberal investment rules for hedge funds give us more flexible investment opportunities compared to ordinary mutual funds. Rhenman Healthcare Equity L/S is mainly invested in equities, both long and short positions. We do not benchmark ourselves against an equity index, the target is a positive annual return regardless of stock market performance.
How is the fund's performance fee calculated?
The performance fee for the fund’s broadly distributed share classes is calculated on a quarterly basis. This means that the performance fee is due if the net asset value (NAV) of the share class, at the time of the calculation, has reached a new highest level at the end of a quarter. Given that the review period for performance fees is quarterly, it may be worth noting that a performance fee can be charged at one or more quarterly closures, when the NAV has developed positively, even though the performance for the calendar year as a whole may turn out to be negative.
